Welcome to the Punjab Muncipal Service Delivery Program (MSDP)

The Punjab Muncipal Service Delivery Program (MSDP) aims at improving the municipal services in South Punjab. Three divisions of South Punjab including Multan, Bahawalpur, and D.G. Khan are the target area for this Program. It has been sponsored through a grant of USD 76 Million by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) out of which USD 50 Million have been allocated for Infrastructure Development and remaining USD 26 Million for soft interventions. The  Urban Sector Policy and Management Unit of the Planning and Development Department is acting as Lead Program Management Unit (PMU) for implementation of the Program and is responsible for soft component whereas Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company (PMDFC) has been given the responsibility of managing Infrastructure Development Projects. The major components of MSDP are Building Provincial Partnership; Infrastructure Development; Citizen Participation; Good Governance and Transparent Management; Information and Planning System Support and Capacity Building. The program spans over a period of five years in which tangible improvements in public service to municipal residents are expected to achieve.
